Climbing to the top of the mountain means Gal 2:20 to me. All the scratches represent the suffering of surrendering for glory.

Today was the day for outlining a sketch. This mural “Butterflies” has an amazing meaning, and the final picture & its poetry will be posted after the day of May 11th when the artist Yoonsoo and 20 volunteers @dallashabitat will complete it. Can’t wait to see the final mural with beautiful bubbles of the last touches!

“It’s an honor to be selected for this MURAL PROJECT to celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. My mural design for Asian Pacific American Heritage Month features vibrant colors and symbolic imagery of butterflies representing the diverse cultures and contributions of Asian Pacific Americans.
For symbols of unity and diversity, I used the Korean traditional patterns of water waves which symbolize “longevity” and "eternity". Water is the source of life and it represents our unending history. Also, I put 4 vibrant colors to symbolize not only various cultures and diversity but also hidden meanings of each color. Yellow represents abundance and fertility. Red represents joy and happiness. Blue represents hope and the future. Green represents peace and growth.”- Artist Yoonsoo Nam
