Reality and illusion
Updated: Aug 13, 2019
What we see about ourselves, others and the world is not always true. We need to surrender all our own view, feeling and thought pattern to see the reality beyond our illusion. We cannot see one fine gold sphere through our glasses which are scratched and distorted. We need true hunger and desire to be free from ourselves.
I do not want to live in my illusion. I want to live in Christ, the reality of Kingdom of God. I want to see as He sees. I want to feel as He feels. I want to think as He thinks. How about you?
"The eye is the lamp of the body; so if your eye is clear [spiritually perceptive], your whole body will be full of light [benefiting from God’s precepts]. But if your eye is bad [spiritually blind], your whole body will be full of darkness [devoid of God’s precepts]. So if the [very] light inside you [your inner self, your heart, your conscience] is darkness, how great and terrible is that darkness!
(Matthew 6:22-23 AMP)

Reality and illusion 36”x24” / Ink on canvas / 2019
I see what I see
I feel what I feel
I think what I think
It always seems reality to me
But self illusion always deceives me
I want to be free from my perspective
I want to be free from my impression
I want to be free from my way of thinking
I want to be free from myself
So I choose to take off my sinful glasses
Your light pierces my eyes
Your wind blows me away
Your fire makes my heart gold
More I surrender more I understand
Now I find the reality in You

"You're being hypercritical and a hypocrite! First acknowledge your own 'blind spots' and deal with them, and then you'll be capable of dealing with the 'blind spot' of your friend."
(Matthew 7:5 TPT)
